Sightseeing in New Territories

New Territories (新界) is the less densely populated part of Hong Kong despite occupying the largest geographical area. The region comprises of a large portion of the Hong Kong mainland adjustent to the borders with Mainland China, but also includes the majority of the outlying islands.

Sightseeing in this region is often characterised by a sheer historical value. Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery situated on Lantau Island are excellent picks for a day tour. Disneyland Hong Kong is the latest resort of the acclaimed theme park, also situated on Lantau Island.
