Trams in Hong Kong
Trams are still in service on Hong Kong Island and despite the comparatively shorter coverage than the one offered by buses, it is a memorable way to travel through the city's ultra modern mega structures. The tram, often referred to as Ding Ding by the locals has gained its nickname from the distinctive sound of its bell that rings upon arrival and departure. Ding Ding is among the oldest means of Hong Kong's transportation, as its being in service since 1904. Apart from Ding Ding, the Peak Tram is a Hong Kong icon, which also is the best way to reach Victoria Peak.
