Railway Links to Hong Kong
The Kowloon-Canton Railway (KCR) provides intercity passenger rail services between Hong Kong and Mainland China via three main routes; Guangdong line, Beijing line and Shanghai line. The Guangdong service operates throughout parts of the Guangdong Province, calling at Dongguan, Guangzhou East, Foshan and Zhaoqing with total journey duration of 4 hours. The intercity services to Beijing and Shanghai last 24 and 26 hours respectively. Intercity services are provided by the KCR East Rail and depart from the Tsim Sha Tsui East and Hung Hom Stations. In addition to the intercity services, KRC also provides light rail and commuter rail services throughout Hong Kong. Timetables and ticket fare information can be obtained from the KCR website.
